We would like your input on a potential new policy within the Town of Yarmouth!
Purpose of Policy:
To reduce the harmful effects of light pollution to the natural environment and to preserve the Dark Sky.
Scope of Policy:
The Town of Yarmouth is proposing a Dark Sky Policy that would apply to outdoor lighting fixtures at new developments of:
- Commercial, Industrial, or High Density Residential uses
- Projects of the Town of Yarmouth on Public Property
Existing developments would be exempt from the policy, but encouraged to comply.
